The Great Wall of China is one of the oldest and largest monuments in humans creativity. The main reason for the Great wall construction was to protect the territory from enemy attack.
1. Total length of Great Wall of China is 21,196.18 km, in which 10% of wall has been ruined. It’s almost 1/2 of Earth’s circumference.
2. This Wall is more than 2,300 years old. It is considered as the oldest creations after the Great Pyramid of Giza.

19. Unique material glutinous rice flour was used in making the binding material to bind the bricks.

UNESCO estimated that 1/3 of the Wall has Disappeared due to human activities and UNESCO also predicts that within next 30 years the most of Walls will be destroyed except well maintained Badaling sections. They also suggested that these place has to be well maintained to avoid the crack on the wall.
21. The wall work activities was a special punishment for convicted criminals during the Qin (221 — 207BC) and Han (202BC — 220AD) Dynasties.
22. During the wall work around 400,000 builders were died and some are said to be buried in the long wall.
