- Built a vast artificial lake, 16 Miles long and 3 Miles wide which was one of the largest man-made lakes in India.

- Rajendra’s territories extended to coastal Burma, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Maldives, the Pegu islands with his fleet of ships. He defeated Mahipala, the Pala king of Bengal and Bihar.

- India’s navy training ship was named as TS Rajendra to honour him.
- He was titiled Mummudi Cholan, Mudigonda Cholan and Irattapadikonda Cholan.
- During his reign that the kingdom was called the “Golden Age of Cholas”.
- Plenty of sculptures were found made by chola Kingdom . The Chola Kingdom began to die after this great kings death.

- Brihadeshwara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Ariyalur district, Tamil Nadu, India.
- It is one of the largest temples in India and is an example of Dravidian architecture built by the Chola dynasty.
- It was built by Rajendra Chola I and completed in 1035 AD.
