This reserve forest was founded in 1950 and the rain forest makes wider and integrated with Congo Basin.
Fauna and Mammals at dja faunal Reserve:
dja faunal Reserve is have unique species notably white-collared Mangabey, mandrill, drill, Western lowland gorilla and chimpanzee.
The reserve forest contain more than 1,500 known plant species there.
It is the home-shelter for more than 100 mammals, including African forest buffalo and leopard.
The forest also provides place for more than 300 bird species.
This place is a heaven for nature and bird lovers. Gray parrot is also found in the reserve.
The region is also home to the Baka Pygmies, who are the original inhabitants.
